I Got My Mind Set On You: Portrait of George Harrison in recreation of Ancient Egyptian Papyrus, 2016

Self-Portrait as George Harrison in re-creation of Ancient Egyptian Papyrus painting of Ma’at and Isis. This re-creation was made with the help of eight high school and college students and was choreographed with ten puppeteers, all created while in residence at Abrons Arts Center in Manhattan. This is a reimagining of the 1980s music video “I Got My Mind Set on You” by George Harrison, with references to haunting scenes with Sesame Street characters "Bert and Ernie" from the segment “Egyptian Mummies”.
